Healthcare Infrastructure Being Strengthened Across the State Aarti Singh Rao

Chandigarh, September 8:- The Haryana Government is continuously working towards modernising healthcare services and medical infrastructure across the state. As part of this initiative, the state government has approved the purchase of new state-of-the-art ultrasound machines for the dispensary at the MLA Hostel in Chandigarh, as well as the civil hospitals in Ambala city and Karnal district. The main objective of this step is to provide patients visiting government health centres with timely and accurate diagnostic facilities, so that they do not have to depend on expensive private centres for treatment and diagnosis.
Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao, while providing detailed information about the decision, said that a high-end ultrasound machine would be installed at the dispensary of the MLA Hostel located in Sector-3, Chandigarh, with the objective of strengthening medical facilities. The purchase and full commissioning of this machine will cost approximately Rs. 81 lakh. The MLA Hostel dispensary is also significant because, apart from the Chief Minister, Cabinet Ministers, MLAs and their family members, thousands of Haryana Government employees working in Chandigarh receive treatment here. With the installation of a technologically advanced machine at the dispensary, all of them will be able to receive immediate and quality health diagnostic facilities within the campus itself.
Along with the VIP arrangement, the government has also approved the installation of new ultrasound machines at the civil hospitals in Ambala city and Karnal district to provide relief to the general public. A large number of patients visit these two major district hospitals every day for treatment, including pregnant women and people suffering from various diseases. Due to limited resources, patients at government hospitals often had to face long waiting lists for ultrasound examinations.
According to Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao, the machines will soon be installed at both locations, providing timely diagnostic facilities to thousands of people from the local areas and surrounding rural regions and reducing their financial burden. She said that the government's main objective is to equip every government hospital in the state with modern equipment and ensure that better healthcare services reach the person at the last mile.
