Four members of a gang involved in a theft case arrested

Karnal, August 29: The Karnal District Police is taking continuous, strict, and effective action to curb theft and other property-related crimes and to apprehend the accused involved in such incidents. In this ongoing effort, a team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Narendra Singh—under the supervision of Kunjpura Police Station SHO Inspector Rajpal Singh—successfully solved a case involving the theft of a submersible motor from an enclosure in village Rasulpur and arrested four members of the gang. The police team recovered ?4,000 in cash and a motorcycle used in the crime from the accused.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Akshay (son of Sunil), Praveen (son of Dharma), Rahul (son of Ramkaran), and Vansh (son of Jasmer)—all residents of village Rasulpur, falling under the jurisdiction of Kunjpura Police Station, Karnal district.
The investigating officer stated that on the night of August 19, 2026, unknown thieves stole a submersible motor installed in an enclosure in village Rasulpur. Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused had conducted a reconnaissance of the site during the day and, seizing the opportunity, executed the theft at night. A case regarding this incident was registered at Kunjpura Police Station, Karnal.
During the investigation, the police team acted on technical and other evidence to arrest the four accused involved in the crime. Intensive interrogation led to the recovery of ?4,000 in cash and the motorcycle used in the incident. The police also questioned the accused regarding other individuals involved in the crime and the whereabouts of the stolen property.
All four arrested accused were produced before the honorable court in accordance with the law and subsequently remanded to judicial custody.
The Karnal District Police has made it clear that no individual involved in theft or property-related crimes will be spared. Strict legal action against those involved in such cases will continue unabated.
