Fatehabad, June 24:- The final match of Fatehabad Cricket League (Under-14) was played between Fatehabad Rising Stars and Fatehabad Strikers. In this exciting 40-over match played at the Everest Cricket Academy ground, Fatehabad Rising Stars won the toss and decided to bat first.
Batting first, Fatehabad Rising Stars scored 191 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 40 overs. Kavya performed brilliantly for the team, scoring 67 runs in 79 balls, while Harvin and Prince contributed 23 runs each. Pawan Bika took 3 wickets and Ayush took 2 wickets for Fatehabad Strikers.
Chasing a target of 192 runs, Fatehabad Strikers were all out for 154 runs in 33.4 overs. Thus, Fatehabad Rising Stars won by 37 runs and took the trophy.
For Fatehabad Strikers, Samarth scored 35 and Mandeep Bishnoi scored 25 runs. Kavya and Prince took 2 wickets each for Fatehabad Rising Stars.
For her excellent all-round performance, Kavya was awarded the "Man of the Match" and the "Best Bowler" of the league. While Ayush of Fatehabad Strikers was awarded the "Man of the Series" and "Best Batsman".
After the victory, a wave of joy swept through the Fatehabad Rising Stars camp. Team owner Rajinder Ji gave the credit for this victory to the entire team and coach Charanjit Singh.
Fatehabad Cricket League (Under-14) Director Arun Khod said that this league has been started to provide new opportunities to young players in cricket and to give a new direction to the game. He said that in the future this league will be organized for other age groups as well.
Everest Cricket Academy Coach Mannu Sharma also encouraged the players and wished them a bright future.
