Donate Eyes Give the Gift of Light One Decision Can Change Someones Life

Hoshiarpur:- As part of the Eye Donation Awareness Fortnight, which is being celebrated from 25th August to 8th September, the Eye Donation Association (EDA), Hoshiarpur organized an awareness seminar on eye donation at Kallar Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Haryana.
On this occasion, Baba Balbir Singh Ji of Bridh Ashram, Haryana was specially present. The Principal of the school, Madam Rita Saini, welcomed this initiative and assured full support from the school.
Addressing the students, EDA President S. Suresh Chand Kapatia informed about the 26 years of dedicated service work being done by the association for eye donation. He appealed to the students to become ambassadors of this noble cause of eye donation and convey this message to their families and society.
General Secretary S. Baljit Singh, giving information about the importance and process of eye donation, said that a decision taken during life can show the world of light again to a person suffering from corneal blindness after death. He appealed to the students to talk to their parents and relatives about eye donation and also motivate others.
On this occasion, Vice President S. Gurpreet Singh, Finance Secretary S. Harbhajan Singh, S. Onkar Singh Dhami and Madam Jatinder Kaur also actively participated.
The association thanked Baba Balbir Singh Ji, Principal Madam Rita Saini, school administrators, staff and students for their valuable support.
At the end of the program, all the attendees were appealed to take the message of eye donation door to door:
“Donate eyes – give the gift of light – give someone a chance to see the world through your donated eyes.”
