Kharar (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), 21 August, 2026:- Under campaign Har Shukkarvar Dengue Te Vaar being run by Punjab Government for prevention of dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases, under directions of Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain and under leadership of Senior Medical Officer Dr. Preet Mohan Singh Khurana, PHC Gharuan staff conducted container survey in village Gharuan and surrounding areas.
During this teams of health department checked private hospitals, government hospitals, veterinary hospitals and pharmacy stores. Teams surveyed various places by checking water containers, tanks and other water collection places about possible presence of mosquito larvae and made people aware about not letting water stand.
Senior Medical Officer Dr. Preet Mohan Singh Khurana said that for prevention of dengue it is very necessary to keep cleanliness around oneself and not let water stand at any place. He said that health department along with making people aware is continuously doing survey and checking of mosquito breeding places. He appealed to all hospitals, medical stores and general public to cooperate with teams of health department.
During this survey active role was played by Health Supervisor Davinder Singh, Health Worker Manpreet Singh, Baljinder Singh and Breeding Checkers. Health department appealed to people that every Friday check water sources in and around their houses and stop breeding of mosquitoes.
