Ban on Sale of Pregabalin Capsules Above 75 mg in Sangrur District

Sangrur, September 8:- Additional District Magistrate Ankur Mahindru, exercising the powers vested under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has issued orders imposing a complete ban on the sale of capsules containing more than 75 mg of Pregabalin in the district.
According to these orders, the higher-dose Pregabalin capsules are being misused by the general public, and therefore, these orders have been implemented. As per the orders, the sale of capsules containing more than 75 mg of Pregabalin medicine has been completely prohibited. At the time of dispensing the medicine, chemists shall affix their stamp on the prescription slip and mention the date on which the medicine is dispensed.
These orders shall remain in force from September 7, 2026, to November 4, 2026.
