Ambala, 27 July:- Yesterday evening on Ambala Cantt GT Road at Shastri Colony bridge, a car hit an auto-rickshaw that was going. In this accident the auto-rickshaw overturned and 9 persons including the driver travelling in it were seriously injured. The injured are said to be of the same family. Panic broke out at the accident spot. Passers-by first called an ambulance but when the ambulance did not arrive, the injured were taken to Cantt Civil Hospital after about 20 minutes via e-rickshaw.
The injured are residents of Chhota Khudda village of Cantt area, including driver Sanju (42), Beji Rani (36), Anita (40), Pala Ram (70), Kajal (38), Rajnish Kumar (48), Reena Rani (35), Rishi (42) and Mamta. Parao Police Station In-charge Praveen said that all the injured who were travelling in the auto-rickshaw are under treatment. The car driver is being searched for.
