Chandigarh, September 29 – Haryana Health Minister Mrs. Aarti Singh Rao said that the state government is working fast and effectively to achieve the target of ending TB by the year 2030 set by the Central Government . She said that the efforts made so far in this direction are commendable and the state is continuously making progress in the health sector .

The Health Minister informed that so far this year more than 4 lakh people have been examined across the state, out of which 95 thousand X-rays have been examined . After these examinations, TB cases have been registered in 57 thousand patients . He said that TB patients are provided free medicines by the government and also financial assistance of Rs . 1 thousand is also provided to them every month for nutrition . In this direction, so far Rs . 131 crore has been sent directly to the accounts of the patients through DBT ( Direct Benefit Transfer ) .
Aarti Singh Rao further informed that under the Nirogi Haryana scheme, 94 lakh beneficiaries have been screened, during which more than 5.50 crore tests have been conducted . Apart from this, under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Rs 3,000 crore has been spent on 27 lakh claims so far . At the same time, under the Chirayu Yojana, Rs 1300 crore has been spent on 9.50 lakh claims .
He also mentioned that under the Anemia Free India campaign, Haryana has achieved remarkable achievements at the national level . Whereas earlier the state was ranked at 10th position , now this reform has brought it to 5th position .
The Health Minister said that these achievements are the result of the commitment and continuous efforts of the state government towards strengthening health services . He expressed confidence that with the joint efforts of the central and state governments, the target of eliminating TB by the year 2030 will definitely be achieved .
