He was speaking as the chief guest at the Prof. Simmi Agnihotri birth anniversary celebration held at the Palakwah Auditorium in Haroli subdivision on Monday. The event was organized by the Prof. Simmi Agnihotri Foundation to encourage meritorious students of the region. Prof. Simmi Agnihotri's daughter, Dr. Aastha Agnihotri, played a special role in the success of this program.
During the ceremony, toppers from various faculties in the three colleges of the Haroli assembly constituency were honored with certificates, mementos, and cash prizes of Rs. 5,100 each.

*Youth should move forward with confidence
In his address, Deputy Chief Minister and Haroli MLA Mukesh Agnihotri stated that every effort is dedicated to the bright future of the children of Haroli. He urged the youth to set big goals in life and move forward with hard work and dedication.
He stated that his focus is on educating and training children at every level, from personal hygiene to studies and sports. Financial constraints will not be allowed to hinder any student's education. The education and progress of every deserving student will be ensured.
Prof. Simmi Agnihotri's contribution is an inspiration.
Recalling the contributions of Prof. Simmi Agnihotri, the Deputy Chief Minister said that her life was dedicated to education, social service, and excellent work. Her inspiration remains with him forever. He commended the social and educational work being undertaken by the Foundation.

*New development gifts for Haroli.
Mukesh Agnihotri informed that a new irrigation scheme worth ?100 crore has been approved for the Haroli Vidhan Sabha area. This will further strengthen irrigation services in the area. Previously, another irrigation project worth Rs 75 crore has been approved for the Beet area.
He said that the Bulk Drug Park, being built at a cost of Rs 2,000 crore, has received environmental clearance from the Centre. This project will open a new chapter in economic development not only for Haroli but for the entire Himachal Pradesh.
In addition, the construction of the Pandoga-Tyuri bridge, the road network, and other infrastructure projects will provide new dimensions of development for Haroli.

*ADC guides children.
On this occasion, 2018 batch IAS officer, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Una Municipal Corporation, Mahendra Pal Gurjar, guided the children with an inspiring address. He said that maintaining a desire to learn at every stage of life is the key to success. Sharing his life experiences, he advised the children to focus on studies, maintain a balanced distance from social media, and adopt a disciplined routine.
On this occasion, girl students from the three colleges in the area presented various cultural programs.

In the programme, the students who stood first in their various faculties and classes from all the three government colleges of Haroli assembly constituency, Prof Simmi Agnihotri Government Degree College Haroli, Sant Dhangu Wale Gujjar Government Degree College Bitan and Pandit Mohan Lal Dutt Government Degree College Khad were also honoured. These included Miss Nancy who stood first in BA first year in Humanities faculty of Prof Simmi Agnihotri Government College Haroli, Riya Thakur who stood first in second year, Indu Wala who stood first in third year and in Commerce faculty. Payal who stood first in B.Com first year, Payal who stood topper in second year and Rohan Saini from third year. At Sant Dhangu Wale Gujjar Government Degree College, Bitan, the Arts faculty included BA first-year topper Akriti, second-year topper Mansi, and third-year topper Riya. In the Commerce faculty, Sanjana Kumari, B.Com first-year topper Simran, and third-year topper Nazia. In the Science faculty, Nidhu Wala, B.Sc first-year topper Chirag, B.Sc second-year topper, and B.Sc third-year topper Kanchan Thakur were present.
At Pandit Mohan Lal Dutt Government College, Khad, the Arts faculty included BA first-year topper Tanu Devi, second-year topper Sunali, and third-year topper Priyanka. In the Commerce faculty, the Commerce faculty included Anita, B.Com first-year topper Riya Kumari, second-year topper, and B.Com third-year topper Mahekpreet Kaur.
Mr. Agnihotri presented a relief cheque of Rs. 4.50 lakh to Yakub Ali, who suffered loss of livestock due to a power line breakage during the rainy season. It is noteworthy that 10 buffaloes belonging to shepherd Yakub Ali died in this accident.
On this occasion, the head of Gram Panchayat Dharampur, Subhadra Chaudhary and the deputy head presented a cheque of Rs 21,000 to the Deputy Chief Minister for the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

*Laid the foundation stone for a girls' hostel at Haroli College.
Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a girls' hostel at Prof. Simmi Agnihotri Government College, Haroli. It will be built at a cost of approximately ?5 crore. On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister paid floral tribute to Prof. Simmi Agnihotri's statue on her birth anniversary and also planted a tree.
He stated that the new hostel will prove to be a historic step towards education and safety for girls from rural areas. Students will now have the opportunity to pursue higher education in a safe environment.
Mukesh Agnihotri stated that a new college building is under construction at a cost of approximately ?16 crore and will be completed by December this year. Currently, the college has approximately 350 students, with the number expected to reach 500 in the next session. Subjects such as MA, graduate degrees, professional courses, vocational courses, fine arts, and music are available here.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the level of education in the Haroli region is continuously rising. Today, this assembly constituency boasts three degree colleges, Triple IT, a nursing college, a law college, and Himcap. He said that while people used to use their thumbprints instead of signing, today this region is producing doctors, judges, professors, and nurses.
He explained that for the development of the Haroli region, attention is being paid to health and infrastructure, along with education. Haroli Hospital employs 15 doctors, seven of whom are specialists. Modern facilities such as CT scans and X-ray machines are available. A drinking water scheme worth ?7 crore has also been completed.
District Congress President Ranjeet Rana, Congress leaders Ashok Thakur, Vinod Bittu, Satish Bittu, Pramod Kumar, Sandeep Agnihotri, SP Amit Yadav, SDM Vishal Sharma, SDM Amb Sachin Sharma, education department officials, Haroli College Principal Prof. Ranveer Dadwal, local public representatives, and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
