Haryana 's vision is housing for all; Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi reviews PMAY- U 2.0

Chandigarh , September 29 - Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban 2.0 ( PMAY-U 2.0), Haryana is moving rapidly towards realizing the vision of Housing for All .

Chandigarh , September 29 - Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban 2.0 ( PMAY-U 2.0), Haryana is moving rapidly towards realizing the vision of Housing for All .
The second meeting of the State Level Sanction and Monitoring Committee (SLSMC) was held here today under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi . In the meeting, 2,198 beneficiaries were sanctioned under the Beneficiary-Based Construction ( BLC) vertical . This move will provide significant support to families of 50 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) to build safe and sustainable houses .
Director General of Housing for All and Secretary of Housing Department Mr. J. Ganesan said that under BLC Vertical, each eligible beneficiary will be given Rs. 2.50 lakhs with the state share . With this assistance, the beneficiaries will be able to build all-weather pucca houses with carpet Asia of between 30 to 40 square meters, which will improve their quality of life .
The meeting reviewed the successful integration of Mukhya Mantri Shehri Awas Yojana ( MMSAY) with PMAY-U 2.0 . The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has approved Rs . 2.50 lakh for construction of houses for 15,256 beneficiaries of one marla plots distributed under MMSAY . Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi emphasized that these approvals are important steps towards realising the vision of Universal Housing of the Government .
The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary, Environment , Forest and Wildlife Department, Mr. Sudhir Rajpal , Additional Chief Secretary, Town and Country Planning and Urban Estate Department, Mr. A.K. Singh , Commissioner and Secretary, Urban Local Government Department, Mr. Vikas Gupta , Commissioner and Secretary, Housing for All Scheme, Mr. Mohammad Shine and other senior officers .
