
Public dedication of Babu Singh Rahal's book 'Jini Namu Likhaya Sachu' by Punjabi Sahitya Sabha
Patiala, November 13- Punjabi Sahitya Sabha Patiala organized a literary event at Department of Language, Punjab, Patiala. Darshan Singh Asht, All-round writer Eng. Devinder Mohan Singh (DM Singh) Ludhiana, versatile writer Dr. Amar Komal, former director of language department Gursharan Kaur Walia, assistant director Tejinder Singh Gill, folklore- Shastri and novelist Dr. Charanjit Kaur (Karnal), Dr. Gurbachan Singh Rahi and Rajinder Pal Sharma (Jagaraon) were involved.

Devinder Mohan Singh (DM Singh) Ludhiana, versatile writer Dr. Amar Komal, former director of language department Gursharan Kaur Walia, assistant director Tejinder Singh Gill, folklore- Shastri and novelist Dr. Charanjit Kaur (Karnal), Dr. Gurbachan Singh Rahi and Rajinder Pal Sharma (Jagaraon) were involved. In this event, the collection of stories of famous storyteller Babu Singh Rahal, 'Jini Namu Likhaya Sachu da Lok arpan' was presented.
Welcoming the writers and scholars, the President of the Assembly Dr. Darshan Singh Asht said that more concrete plans will be drawn for the development of the mother tongue. Eng. Devinder Mohan Singh was of the opinion that Punjabi Sahitya Sabha Patiala is one of the important literary societies of Punjab which is walking on solid lines for the development of the mother tongue. Dr. Amar Komal believed that there are solid messages hidden in the stories of Babu Singh Rahal. Gursharan Kaur Walia was of the opinion that during the time when he was the director of the language department, the Sabha was promoting literary activities with the same head and zeal. Tejinder Singh Gill while promoting Siddhant for art and literature said that language department and literary societies are inextricably linked. Dr. Charanjit Kaur Karnal said that today's literature is beautifully expressing the mental breakdown and duality of man, while Rajinderpal Sharma participated in the meeting for the first time and shared a satirical style of writing. Dr. Gurbachan Singh Rahi also expressed valuable views.
While reading the main paper on Babu Singh Rahal's collection of stories, Dr. Lakshmi Narayan Bhikhi raised this central point that the socialist point of view is prominent in Rahal's stories. Dr. Harjit Singh Sadhar spoke in detail about the character construction of Rahal's stories while Sukhdev Singh Chahal, Balbir Singh Dildar, Baldev Singh Bindra and Harpreet Kaur Manupuri (Khojarthan) highlighted the art aspect of the book.
