
Technical Assistant of Revenue Department taking Rs 35,000 bribe caught by vigilance
Patiala, February 28 - The Punjab Vigilance Bureau caught Kulbir Singh red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 35,000, posted as technical assistant in the office of Tehsildar Mahal Kalan of Barnala district today. Giving information in this regard, the spokesperson of State Vigilance Bureau said that this case has been registered on the basis of the complaint filed by Sanjay Singh, a resident of Mahal Kalan.
Patiala, February 28 - The Punjab Vigilance Bureau caught Kulbir Singh red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 35,000, posted as technical assistant in the office of Tehsildar Mahal Kalan of Barnala district today. Giving information in this regard, the spokesperson of State Vigilance Bureau said that this case has been registered on the basis of the complaint filed by Sanjay Singh, a resident of Mahal Kalan.
He further said that the complainant has alleged that the said accused has demanded 40,000 rupees from Naib Tehsildar Mahal Kalan through the concerned Halka Patwari Hardev Singh.
The spokesperson said that after the initial investigation of this complaint, the vigilance team of Patiala range laid a trap and nabbed the said accused on the spot by taking a bribe of Rs 35,000 from the complainant in the presence of two government witnesses.
