The Chief Minister was addressing the inaugural program of newly recruited Group-D employees organized in Panchkula on Saturday as the chief guest.
While congratulating the employees, Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that a government job is not just a job, but it is an opportunity to serve the motherland, which gave us everything. Service to the society, which gave us identity. He said that government employees are the most important link between the public and the government.
He said that Haryana is a land of development and innovation. Haryana has emerged as a leading state in the country today. We are touching new heights in every field like agriculture, industry, education, health, sports, women empowerment, digital governance. This success is not only of the policy makers, this success is also of the hardworking and honest officers and employees, who perform their duties day and night. Therefore, the employees should always carry forward that tradition and work with the spirit of service, honesty, transparency and efficiency.
The Chief Minister said that in the last 11 years, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a major change has been seen in every sector of the country and the state. In the year 2014, India was ranked 14th in the world in terms of economy, but after the economic progress in the last 11 years, today India's economy has become the fourth largest economy in the world.
Targeting the opposition leaders, Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that during the assembly elections, an opposition leader was saying during the election campaign that give me 50 votes, I will give you a job. Bids were made for jobs, but today our government has taken a strict stand against such a system and has given jobs only on the basis of merit. Today, children from poor families are also getting government jobs, their dreams are now being fulfilled. In the previous government, children did not get the fruits of their hard work, but today the youth are getting jobs on the basis of their hard work.
The Chief Minister said that our government has been working at a fast pace since the year 2014 with the mantra of 'Jan Sewa Hi Param Dharam'. The state government has adopted a zero tolerance policy against corruption. Today, this policy is not only on paper, but is also visible in reality on the ground.
He said that the government is always with the employees for training, skill development and welfare. A better work culture, modern infrastructure and digital processes are being promoted at every level. He said that the government has given 30 thousand government jobs in its third term. Now government jobs in Haryana are being given not through recommendation but through hard work - Minister of State Gaurav Gautam.
Minister of State for Sports, Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Shri Gaurav Gautam said that Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini had promised to provide employment to 24,000 youth in a transparent manner under the policy of 'No Slip and No Expand', which he fulfilled. He said that with the blessings of the Chief Minister, he has got the opportunity to work as a representative of the youth and he is playing this role with full dedication.
Shri Gautam said that today Haryana is leading the country in terms of transparency and honesty. He said that before the year 2014, there was a paralyzed government in the state. At that time, the youth did not see any hope of justice. The youth used to have to run around politicians and brokers for jobs, but today the same youth are seen working hard in coaching centres, playgrounds and libraries. This change is the result of the foresight of Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini.
He said that government jobs are being given in Haryana without any recommendation and expenditure. This is not just a slogan but a strong foundation which will make Haryana a country of honesty and transparency in the coming times.
