A comprehensive refresher training session on the updated version (20.3) of the Poshan Tracker Application and Dashboard was conducted from February 26 to February 28, 2024, at Bal Bhawan, Sector 23, Chandigarh. Consultant, NeGD, MoWCD, taken detailed session on the functionality of POSHAN Tracker i.e. Daily attendance, beneficiary data, updating Growth Monitoring Data, Supplementary Nutrition, and provided insights into the myriad changes and updates integrated into the application.

Consultant, NeGD, MoWCD, taken detailed session on the functionality of POSHAN Tracker i.e. Daily attendance, beneficiary data, updating Growth Monitoring Data, Supplementary Nutrition, and provided insights into the myriad changes and updates integrated into the application.
Moreover, in a concerted effort to strengthen the capacity of Anganwadi workers, specialized growth monitoring training sessions have been organized. These sessions aim to ensure accurate documentation of vital metrics such as weight and height for beneficiaries covering pregnant women, lactating mothers, newborn babies, and children up to 6 years of age. Under the supervision of medical experts from AIIMS, Mohali, and PGIMER, Chandigarh, these training initiatives are geared towards upholding the highest standards of data accuracy and program efficacy.
Dr. Palika Arora, Director Social Welfare, Women & Child Development, graced the training session on February 28, 2024. Dr. Arora emphasized on the crucial role of Anganwadi workers in using insights gained from these sessions to ensure accurate and timely growth monitoring of all enrolled children. She highlighted the importance of diligently entering data into the POSHAN Tracker App and encouraged increased field visits to improve program implementation. Director Social Welfare also told that Department is in process of providing new Growth Monitoring Devices and smartphones to further empower Anganwadi workers in their noble endeavors.
In conclusion, the refresher training sessions equipped the Anganwadi workers with the tools and knowledge necessary to fulfill their vital role in promoting the health and well-being of Pregnant & Lactating Women and children upto 6 years of age enrolled at 450 Anganwadi Centres of UT Chandigarh.
It is pertinent to mention that the POSHAN Abhiyaan was implemented with full enthusiasm in U.T Chandigarh with an aim to reduce malnutrition from the U.T. Chandigarh, through the life cycle concept, by adopting a synergized and result-oriented approach. The Poshan Tracker application was rolled out on 1 March 2021 for real-time monitoring of Anganwadi Services.
