New Delhi: The Election Commission has rejected the claim of RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav that his name is missing from the draft electoral roll of the state published by the Election Commission of India on August 1.

New Delhi: The Election Commission has rejected the claim of RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav that his name is missing from the draft electoral roll of the state published by the Election Commission of India on August 1.
However, the Election Commission today released the voter list of Digha Assembly constituency, which falls under Patna Sahib Lok Sabha constituency, in which Tejashwi Yadav's name and photograph are shown under serial number 416.
This reaction of the election panel came after Tejashwi Yadav was asked how he would be able to contest the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.
Yadav, the leader of the opposition in the Bihar assembly, had said that “taking away the rights of voters is the murder of democracy.” He had entered his EPIC number on the official website of the Election Commission in front of the media but it showed ‘not found’.
Yadav had alleged that the Election Commission is working like a cell of the Bharatiya Janata Party. RJD leader Yadav is a voter under Digha assembly constituency and represents Raghopur assembly constituency.
