A delegation of the Union under the leadership of Punjab State President Amrik Singh Garshankar met with 

Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema at Civil Secretariat Chandigarh for unconditional permanent employment of unskilled laborers 

working in the Forest and Wildlife Department. . Union General Secretary Jasveer Singh Seera, Chief Advisor Makhan Singh Wahidpuri, 

Secretary Finance Department, Principal Secretary Forest Department Vikas Garg, President Chief Forest Officer Punjab RK Mishra were 

also present during the meeting.
Giving information about this, the spokesman of the union said that during the meeting, Finance Minister Punjab Harpal Singh Cheema 

was told that the workers who were working in the Forest Department in the past were regularized, at that time there was no requirement 

of educational qualification, so now Workers are to be fixed and they should also be exempted from educational qualification.
In the meeting, the Finance Minister assured that the educational qualification condition for the appointment of the workers working in the 

Forest Department will be abolished and they will be appointed unconditionally. He instructed the officials of the forest department to 

prepare and send a note to the workers who do not fulfill the educational qualification. He assured to remove this condition and said that 

the workers' coat cases go to be confirmed (there is no condition for that) their names will be verified for confirmation. Leaders such as 

Jaswinder Singh Sauja, Sulkhan Singh Mohali, Lakhwinder Singh Chhat Bir, Saminder Singh Muktsar Sahib etc. were present in the 

meeting.
