22,602 new social security pension cases approved in Una over the past two and a half years.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the Himachal government is further strengthening this trust. In this regard, 22,602 new cases under the Social Security Pension Scheme have been approved in Una district over the past two and a half years.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the Himachal government is further strengthening this trust. In this regard, 22,602 new cases under the Social Security Pension Scheme have been approved in Una district over the past two and a half years.
With this, the number of pensioners in the district has increased to 70,093. Approximately ?82.93 crore is being spent annually on these pensions, providing underprivileged sections not only financial support but also the opportunity to live a life with self-respect.
Una District Welfare Officer Awas Pandit stated that under various social security pension schemes in the state, monthly pensions are being provided to eligible individuals according to their age and category.
He informed that women under 70 years of age are being given pension benefits at the rate of ?1,500 per month, women aged 70 and above are being given ?1,700 per month, men under 70 are being given ?1,000 per month, and men above 70 are being given ?1,700 per month.
In addition, in the disabled category, women under 70 are being given social security pension at the rate of ?1,500 per month, men are being given ?1,000 per month, and women and men above 70 are being given ?1,700 per month.

*Special Campaign for e-KYC*
District Welfare Officer, Una, Awas Pandit, informed that a special verification campaign is being run through the e-Kalyan mobile app until September 30th to ensure e-KYC of all social security pensioners in the district. This campaign is being conducted with the help of Anganwadi workers at the district, tehsil, panchayat and local level. He informed that till now the verification work of most of the pensioners has been completed, while the remaining unverified pensioners have been appealed to get their verification done within the stipulated time period.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal said that all the eligible pensioners in the district are being provided social security pension on time through the department. He said that this is the visionary and positive thinking of the state government, under which every section of the society is being given the opportunity to move forward with self-respect and economic security.
