Organized by the Prof. Simmi Agnihotri Foundation, the event will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will commemorate Prof. Agnihotri's contributions to education and society. Meritorious students from three colleges in the Haroli Assembly constituency will be awarded at the event.
It is noteworthy that Prof. Simmi Agnihotri, born on September 29, 1968, passed away on February 9, 2024. A professor in the Department of Public Administration at Himachal Pradesh University, Prof. Agnihotri made an indelible mark in the fields of education, research, and social concerns. Her guidance inspired countless students to academic excellence and values.
Prior to this, the Deputy Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone of the Girls Hostel at Prof. Simmi Agnihotri Government College, Haroli, at 10 a.m. Built at a cost of approximately ?5 crore, this hostel will provide safe and quality residential facilities to female students.
It is noteworthy that through the continuous efforts of Deputy Chief Minister and Haroli MLA Mukesh Agnihotri, Haroli College is being developed as a multidisciplinary center of excellence in education. The new college building, built at a cost of ?16 crore, is nearly complete and offers diverse educational opportunities, including humanities, science, commerce, vocational courses, and fine arts.
