Patiala: 07 August 2025: On the call of the Employees and Pensioners' Joint Front Punjab, a 66 KV Sub Station in Patiala was held today by the local divisions of Powercom Pensioners Patiala Circle, in which hundreds of colleagues participated. This protest was held due to the Punjab Government postponing the July 29 meeting again.
This protest was led by Mr. Atar Singh Division President Sub Urban Mandal Patiala and Mr. Krishan Kumar Purab Mandal Patiala and Ram Chand Dhamomajra Model Town Patiala Division President, Baljinder Singh Paschim Mandal Patiala. In which State General Secretary Dhanwant Singh Bhattal specially participated.
Sarv Sri Sant Ram Cheema, Ram Chand Bakshiwala Circle Secretary Patiala, Sri Nath Ram, Thana Singh, Krishan Dev, Lakhvir Singh, Surinder Singh Khalsa, Om Prakash, Baljinder Singh, Kaka Singh, etc. were present in this protest.
On the call of Pensioners and the United Front Punjab, the cremation of the Finance Minister and the Chief Minister was held and it was demanded that the formula of 2.59 should be applied to pensioners as well. Dearness allowance installments should be released. The arrears of employees should be paid immediately. The 200 rupees tax should be stopped, regular recruitments should be made by stopping the contractual system, etc. The demands were discussed.
