Mumbai- The court had acquitted BJP leader Pragya Thakur, Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Purohit and five others in the Malegaon 2008 blast case. The victims' families have approached the Bombay High Court against this. The case was earlier heard in the NIA court.
The court said that the prosecution has failed to present any concrete evidence on the assessment of the case. This order was pronounced by Special Judge A.K. Lahoti in the Special National Investigation Agency Court in Mumbai on July 31, 2025.
