BAGHDAD - At least 60 people have died in a fire at a hypermarket (mall) in the eastern Iraqi city of Al-Qut, the state news agency INA has claimed. The five-storey building in Al-Qut is seen engulfed in flames in videos circulating on social media while firefighters are trying to control the fire.
However, Reuters has not confirmed these videos at its level. According to the INA report, the cause of the fire could not be immediately known, but the governor said that the initial results of the investigation will be made public within 48 hours. INA quoted the governor as saying, "We have filed a lawsuit against the building and the owner of the mall."
