S.A.S.Nagar, July 4: Shri Harmandeep Singh Hans, IPS Senior Superintendent of Police District SAS Nagar, during the campaign launched by District Mohali Police against bad elements, Shri Saurav Jindal PPS Superintendent of Police (Investigation), Shri Talwinder Singh PPS Superintendent of Police (Operation), Shri Jatinder Singh Chauhan PPS Sub-Superintendent of Police (Investigation) District SAS Nagar under the supervision of Inspector Harminder Singh Incharge CIA. 
The staff team has succeeded in recovering one illegal pistol .32 bore along with 03 live rounds .32 bore from the accused Upendra Panwar alias Lucky Chaudhary arrested in case No. 78 dated 22-06-2025 under Sections 318(2), 308(2), 304(2), 3(5) BNS & 25-54-59 Arms Act at Police Station I.T. City, Mohali.
On 22-06-2025, the above case was registered on the basis of information against Deepak Kumar son of Pawan Kumar, resident of village Dhandardu, district Panchkula, Haryana, Harjinder Singh alias Ladi son of Avtar Singh, resident of village Chhat, Irbanpreet Singh alias Pinki, resident of Swastik Vihar, Zirakpur and Sandeep Kaur alias Mahi, daughter of Nek Singh, resident of Machiya Wali Basti, Jira, district Ferozepur. 
The accused Sandeep Kaur, who used to share her live location with her accomplices on Airport Road, Zirakpur-Banur Road, Zirakpur-Panchkula Road and other main roads at night, used to stand alone and on the pretext of asking for directions from the passers-by and taking a lift, she would sit in their cars and trucks and on the pretext of going ahead and trapping them in her trap and stopping the vehicle. Meanwhile, the rest of her gang members would reach there and start making videos of the passers-by and blackmail them and rob them of all their money, mobile phones etc. 
The accused arrested in the above case had admitted that accused Upendra Panwar alias Lucky was also involved in many incidents with them, who also has illegal weapons. Based on the interrogation of the accused, Upendra Panwar alias Lucky Chaudhary son of Mainpal Singh was arrested, from whom 03 live rounds including an illegal pistol .32 bore were recovered.

Accused Upendra Panwar alias Lucky Chaudhary son of Mainpal Singh resident of village Nainkheri, police station Rampur Maniharan, district Saharanpur, U.P. Currently resident of house no. 595, village Birgarh, police station Chandi Mandir, district Panchkula, Haryana, whose age is about 36 years, who has studied B.S.E. and is married. 
(The accused was arrested on 28-06-2025 from his house in village Nainkheri, U.P.) 02 cases of Arms Act and Gambling have been registered against the accused in police station Panchkula and police station Zirakpur.
The accused is under police remand, who is being questioned as to from whom the accused had obtained the illegal arms and ammunition.
