Awareness campaign is being run at village level to protect children from diarrhea - Dr. Seema Garg.

Hoshiarpur- As per the instructions of Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Pawan Kumar Shagotra, District Vaccination Officer Dr. Seema Garg, Senior L.H. Vij of urban areas and ANMs held extensive discussions. Its main objective was to prevent fights in urban, rural and slum areas, promote awareness and make plans and strategies to implement the campaign effectively.

Vij of urban areas and ANMs held extensive discussions. Its main objective was to prevent fights in urban, rural and slum areas, promote awareness and make plans and strategies to implement the campaign effectively.
District Vaccination Officer Dr. Seema Garg while addressing said that measles is a serious disease in children, which is the most fatal for children all over the world. But diarrhea can be prevented and treated on time.
The Health Department is running a Stop the Dust campaign to make people aware of this. Under this, people at the village level are to be made aware about the causes of diarrhea, its prevention and treatment methods through various activities. He said that children become victims of diarrhea due to contaminated water, contaminated food and lack of hygiene.
This disease can spread from one child to another. If diarrhea is not stopped in time, the child can even die. Therefore, this campaign is run by the department every year to make people aware. He said that the risk of spreading this disease is high during the rainy season, so this campaign is being celebrated for a month till July 31.
He said that during this time ORS and Zinc corners should be ensured in all health institutions and information should be given about where to prepare the ORS solution. He said that Asha workers and health workers should go door-to-door and give information to women about maintaining hygiene.
