Derabassi (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), July 1: The Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is constantly striving to make Punjab a colorful and healthy Punjab, under which quality health services are being provided by strengthening the infrastructure of health institutions in the state.
The above statements were expressed by Vice President Punjab Health System Corporation Maninderjit Singh Vicky Ghanaur, who today made a surprise visit to the Civil Hospital of Sub-Division Derabassi. He said that the Punjab Government is saving the common people from expensive treatment by improving the government health institutions.
He said that 881 Aam Aadmi Clinics in the state, in which OPD, medicines and tests were being given free of cost earlier, have now started providing care services to pregnant women as well.
He said that for easy access of patients to hospitals, Bhagwant Singh Mann government has provided 58 new ambulances last year and 46 new ambulances this year so that the patient does not face any problem in reaching the government hospital in case of emergency and he does not have to hire an ambulance by paying expensive fees. During his visit to Derabassi hospital, he interacted with the patients who came to the hospital and got information about the facilities being provided by the Bhagwant Mann government.
Talking to the media, Vice Chairman of Punjab Health System Corporation Maninderjit Singh Vicky Ghanaur congratulated all the doctors on Doctors Day and said that the government is continuously working to make Punjab healthy, under which hospitals are also being upgraded and free medicines are also being provided to the patients. He said that the Punjab government is continuously taking steps to provide good health facilities to the people of Punjab at the grassroots level.
He said that not only health facilities but also the continuous elimination of drug addiction in Punjab is an important achievement of the Punjab government, under which free treatment is being provided in the de-addiction centers and rehabilitation centers of Punjab so that the victims can be removed from addiction. SMO Derabassi Dr. Dharminder Singh was also present on this occasion.
