Srinagar, June 16 - Three people, including a 10-year-old child, were injured in a blast in Kupwara district here this morning. They said that the blast took place during the demolition of an old mosque at Kachri in Langet area of ??the district.
The old mosque was being demolished by the mosque management committee to construct a new mosque. The cause of the blast could not be immediately ascertained. Officials said that the injured have been identified as Mudassir Ahmed Mir (26), Ghulam Ahmed Tantre (65) and DA Lone (10).
They were taken to the Sub-District Hospital Langet from where Mir has been referred to the Government Medical College Hospital in Handwara.
