Various dignitaries presented their views in this seminar organized under the aegis of Om Sterling Global University and Institute for Public Policy Research and Sustainable Development.
Cabinet Minister of Haryana Government, Mr. Ranbir Gangwa was present as the chief guest in the program. In his address, Mr. Gangwa highlighted the importance of the concept of 'One Nation-One Election' and its potential benefits. One Nation-One Election is a matter of national interest.
The campaign was launched by the Prime Minister of the country, Mr. Narendra Modi, that elections are held in some state or the other every year. This leads to a waste of time and money. The objective of One Nation-One Election is to eliminate the challenges related to electoral management, reduce expenses and eliminate the disruptions in governance and administration caused by frequent elections.
He called the concept of 'one nation-one election' the need of the hour and said that it will strengthen the democratic system, reduce administrative expenses and also speed up the country's development. This grand seminar was presided over by Dr. Puneet Goyal, Honorable Chancellor of Om Sterling Global University. In his presidential address, he said that this subject should not be limited to political discussions only, but its social, economic and administrative aspects should also be deeply considered and concrete steps should be taken for its implementation.
Advocate Vijaypal (State Convenor, One Nation-One Election) presented his views as the keynote speaker in this function. He described One Nation-One Election as a positive initiative towards transparency and good governance of democracy. In the democracy of a developed country like India, the concept of one nation, one election will bring an important result to streamline the governance system and strengthen democratic processes.
Along with this, he said that this is not just a slogan, but a far-reaching vision for the future of the country. I congratulate Om Sterling Global University and Institute for Public Policy Research and Sustainable Development for this meaningful cooperation. In this campaign, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. N.P. Kaushik, Vice Chancellor Dr. Rajendra Singh Chhillar gave important cooperation and contribution.

In the seminar, researchers, students and youth of OSGU also participated and shared their views on the subject. The objective of this event was to spread awareness and to gather ideas from the public for policy making.
