Senior Medical Officer Dr. Alkajot Kaur said that health teams of PHC Boothgarh are conducting malaria test at different places so that people can be saved from this deadly fever in time. She said that malaria is a serious type of fever, which spreads due to the bite of female Anopheles mosquito. This mosquito, which spreads fever, thrives in rainy season.
She said that fever with chills and shivering every day or on the third day, vomiting and headache, fatigue and weakness after fever subsides, sweating from the body after fever subsides etc. are the main symptoms of malaria. Whether there is malaria or not, it can be found out by getting a blood test done. If malaria is found, its treatment is possible. She said that do not let water accumulate anywhere. Pour black oil in the stagnant water and keep the water tanks on the roof covered.
Wear such clothes which completely cover the body so that mosquitoes do not bite. Use mosquito net, mosquito repellent cream and oil while sleeping at night. Malaria testing and treatment is free in government health institutions. On this occasion, Dr. Jyoti CHO, Health Supervisor Bhupinder Singh, health workers Rajinder Singh, Raghuveer Singh, Anita Rani etc. were present.
