Although different parties ruled in the last 9 decades, no one took care of the backward people. They were also deprived of their constitutional rights to raise the standard of living of the backward society.
Expressing doubt on the intention of the central government, OBC Federation District Mansa President Kewal Singh and General Secretary Lal Chand Yadav said that the decision to conduct caste based census has been taken to divert people's attention from Bihar elections and the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
He said that if the central government is really serious about conducting caste census, then it should present accurate figures to the people by setting a fixed time limit and representation should be given according to the population from village level to village level.
He said that it is very unfortunate that despite the backward classes getting the constitutional right of 27% reservation in Punjab University Chandigarh, hunger strike is going on continuously for the last 50 days.
Backward classes are facing a big blow in the recruitment of law officers in Punjab. He said that the only aim of the governments of the time is to deprive the backward community of their rights by gathering their votes.
