
274 students of DAV B.Ed. College, Hoshiarpur were honoured with degrees
Hoshiarpur- The convocation of M.Ed. and B.Ed. students of academic session 2020 to 2024 was held with great dignity at DAV College of Education, Hoshiarpur, an institution running under the guidance of DAV College Managing Committee President Dr. Anoop Kumar and Secretary Mr. R.M. Bhalla and under the leadership of Principal Dr. Vidhi Bhalla. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, who is the former Vice Chancellor of Guru Nanak University, Amritsar, was present as the Chief Guest.

On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, who is the former Vice Chancellor of Guru Nanak University, Amritsar, was present as the Chief Guest.
President Dr. Anoop Kumar, Secretary Mr. R.M. Bhalla and Principal Dr. Vidhi Bhalla welcomed the chief guest with a bouquet of flowers. Thereafter, after lighting the lamp, the singing of Saraswati Vandana by the students spread the spirit of knowledge and peace in the entire atmosphere.
At the beginning of the function, Principal of the College Managing Committee Dr. Vidhi Bhalla declared the convocation open.
College Principal Dr. Vidhi Bhalla formally welcomed the chief guest and all the specially present guests and highlighted the glorious achievements of the college. She also informed that D.A.V. B.Ed. The college ranks among the best teacher training institutes of Punjab as it inculcates various skills in the students to become effective and selfless teachers.
In his convocation address, the Chief Guest Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu said that this day is a celebration of joy for the students who have passed out as well as the entire staff of the college.
He narrated anecdotes from his personal and professional life and motivated the students to follow the straight path without succumbing to any pressure. He said that they should make their own path and try to become financially independent without depending on their parents.
He also highlighted the importance of hard work and perseverance and encouraged the students to accept failure as a powerful catalyst for growth, resilience and self-discovery and congratulated the College Managing Committee, Principal and teachers of the college and all the students.
In the ceremony, Gold Medalists and Merit students of Punjab University were felicitated with medals and M.Ed. and B.Ed. A total of 274 students were awarded degree certificates. Along with this, two assistant professors of the college were honoured with the degree of Doctor. After receiving the medal and degree certificate, the enthusiasm and zeal of the students made the entire atmosphere of the ceremony joyous.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. Anoop Kumar wished a bright future for all the degree holders and said that only with the cooperation of young teachers, the civilization and culture of the nation can be preserved along with the spread of knowledge. He also congratulated Principal Dr. Vidhi Bhalla for organizing the convocation in a prestigious manner. Secretary Mr. R.M. Bhalla also congratulated the degree receiving students and their parents on this occasion.
Principal Dr. Vidhi Bhalla expressed his views on this occasion and said that the convocation brings a new height to the dreams of the degree receiving students. It is a celebration of the hard work and dedication of the students. Along with this, he congratulated the coordinator Dr. Chetna Sharma and the entire staff.
On this occasion, the college Eminent alumni Mr. Gautam Mehta, Mr. Sharanjit Saini, Mr. Harish Chander Sharma, Mr. A.S. Tatra, Mr. Amandeep Sharma, Mrs. Kiranpreet Kaur, Mrs. Timatini Ahluwalia, Mrs. Rupinder Kaur Sahni, Sardar Asapur Singh, Mr. Chander Prakash Saini, Sardar Varinder Singh Nimana and Mr. Sanjiv Bakshi were felicitated with mementoes who have brought laurels to the college as well as Hoshiarpur by holding various influential positions. Principal Mr. Rajesh Kumar was also felicitated.
Rahul Sharma and Subhash Gandhi of the college managing committee were also present on the occasion. The programme ended with the national anthem.
