Chandigarh: 01st Nov, 2024: Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh on 1st November, 2024 observed a pledge taking ceremony to mark and celebrate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in adherence to the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, New Delhi.   
Registrar Col. R. M. Joshi along with Prof. S.K. Mangal (Dean of Academic Affairs) administered the pledge/Oath to all the employees and staff members of the Institute outside the administrative block. He also shed light on the importance of the life story of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the architect of National Integration of Independent India. It is a special occasion to foster and reinforce our dedication to preserve and strengthen the unity, integrity and security of our Nation. 
All the heads of departments, Faculty & staff members, teaching & non-teaching staff members of PEC also participated in this oath taking ceremony highlighting the spirit of unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
