
Vehicles will be blacklisted if challans are not paid: RTO
Hoshiarpur- Regional Transport Officer Hoshiarpur Ravinder Singh Gill informed that challans are issued for vehicles violating the Motor Vehicle Act 1988 in the state and if the challan is not paid within 90 days under Rule 167 under the Central Motor Vehicle Rules 1989, then the department blacklists the concerned vehicles.

He said that due to the vehicle being blacklisted, the owners of the concerned vehicles cannot avail any kind of government services like insurance, pollution, registration, transfer, loan etc.
He appealed to the general public to deposit the due amount of their challan in the office of Regional Transport Officer Hoshiarpur on time. In case of non-payment of the due amount of challan, the vehicle will be blacklisted.
