
'Sports Club of Mahilpur Area', research project launched by Kulwant Singh Sangha
Mahilpur- The young men and women of Mahilpur region have made their own identity in the world of sports. These historical footprints should be preserved in the form of a book so that the coming generations can be proud of these achievements and decide the direction of the future. Nations that do not have a history disappear from the map of this earth. This view was expressed by Principal Harbhajan Singh Sporting Club President Kulwant Singh Sangha while launching the project of exploring sports clubs of Mahilpur region at Khalsa College Mahilpur. He further said that under this project, the history, achievements, tournaments, national and international players and current status of various rural clubs of the region will be evaluated.
Retired SP Shivinderjit Singh Bains said that this project will also be completed by Baljinder Mann with the help of Dr. Parampreet Kandowal. Who has earlier written 25 books including the football world of the region. Due to his selfless service and selfless work spirit, he has been honored by prestigious institutions of the country and abroad and has also received the Shiromani Punjabi Bal Sahitya Lekhak Award from the Government of Punjab.
He further said that the representatives of the concerned clubs should make every effort to convey their information to the author by 31 May 2025. On the occasion of the launch of this project, players, sports administrators and sports promoters including Principal Dr. Parwinder Singh, SP Shivinderjit Singh Bains, Roshanjit Singh Panam, Dr. JB Sekhon, Arvinder Singh Haveli, Chanchal Singh Bains, Kundan Singh Sajjan, Master Baninder Singh, Tarlochan Singh Sandhu, Jagjit Singh Ganeshpur, Rupinder Jot Singh Khalsa, Harbhajan Singh Kahlon, Bagga Singh Artist and Sukhman Singh were present. Representatives of rural clubs pledged their cooperation in making this project a success.
