
Union Minister Manohar Lal inaugurated the office of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Lohgarh Foundation Trust.
Chandigarh, June 22 - Union Minister for Housing, Urban Affairs and Power Shri Manohar Lal inaugurated the office of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Lohgarh Foundation Trust built at PWD Rest House Vyaspur, Yamunanagar on Sunday by cutting the ribbon. On this occasion, a meeting was organized with the members of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Lohgarh Trust under the chairmanship of the Union Power Minister.
Chandigarh, June 22 - Union Minister for Housing, Urban Affairs and Power Shri Manohar Lal inaugurated the office of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Lohgarh Foundation Trust built at PWD Rest House Vyaspur, Yamunanagar on Sunday by cutting the ribbon. On this occasion, a meeting was organized with the members of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Lohgarh Trust under the chairmanship of the Union Power Minister.
In the meeting, a detailed discussion was held regarding the commencement of the construction process of Lohgarh Monument. In the meeting, the Monitoring Committee and Expert Committee to monitor the construction process of the monument and the management of cultural programs related to Sikh heritage were discussed. In the meeting, former Haryana Cabinet Minister Shri Kanwar Pal was nominated as the Chairman of the Monitoring Committee.
The purpose of the Monitoring Committee will be to periodically check the construction process of the monument reflecting the Sikh heritage and to give necessary suggestions. The work of the Expert Committee of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Lohgarh Foundation Trust will be to highlight important points and every incident related to the monument from history and to play its role in strengthening it through research.
Union Minister for Housing, Urban Affairs and Power Shri Manohar Lal said in the meeting that the Trust and other sub-committees will play an important role in preserving the rich heritage of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur and developing research and museums, monuments and literature on Lohgarh and Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.
The meeting also discussed the provision of income tax exemption to individuals/institutions donating in the name of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Lohgarh Foundation Trust. The meeting discussed in detail the implementation of various projects under Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Lohgarh Foundation Trust and other related points.
In the meeting, Kisan Yuva Club founder Rakesh Beniwal and his colleague Aman Virk handed over a cheque of Rs 11 lakh as a donation to the Union Power Minister in the name of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Lohgarh Foundation Trust. Earlier, Deshbhagat University Chancellor Dr. Jora Singh donated Rs 11 lakh to the Trust. For this, the Union Power Minister thanked him and appealed to the people to participate more in such religious and social activities.
The meeting was attended by Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Mr. Shyam Singh Rana, former Minister Mr. Kanwar Pal, former MP Mr. Sanjay Bhatia, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Vijender Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Ambala Mr. Sanjeev Verma, Director General of Information, Public Relations and Languages ??Department Haryana Mr. K.M. Pandurang, Director of Tourism Department Dr. Shaleen, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Partha Gupta, OSD to the Chief Minister Dr. Prabhleen Singh and other senior officials.
