District Epidemiologist Dr. Anamika, while giving information about malaria, said that malaria is a serious type of fever that is spread by the bite of the female Anopheles mosquito. The mosquito that spreads this fever thrives during the rainy season. She said that fever with chills and shivering every day or on the third day, vomiting and headache, fatigue and weakness after the fever subsides, sweating of the body after the fever subsides, etc. are the main symptoms of malaria.
Getting a blood test done can tell whether you have malaria or not. If malaria is found, then its treatment is possible. She said that water should not be allowed to accumulate anywhere. Black oil should be added to the collected water and the water tanks on the roof should be kept covered. Such clothes should be worn that the body is completely covered so that mosquitoes do not bite. Mosquito nets, mosquito repellent creams and oils should be used while sleeping at night.
