Hoshiarpur- District Magistrate Ashika Jain has issued various prohibitory orders in the district, exercising the powers vested in her under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Protection Act 2023.
According to these orders, there will be a ban on running illegal hookah bars within the district limits because such hookah bars use tobacco, cigarettes and chemicals harmful to the human body, which proves to be very harmful to human health and also has a negative impact on the society.
Orders have been issued to the owners of poultry farms/rice huskers/kilns and other small scale industries in the district to keep a register in their houses with the names, full addresses, three photographs (poses from right, left and front) of the employees and to write the addresses of their relatives. 
The owners should keep the fingerprints of the workers in their register and also register this entire record immediately in the concerned police station or police post of the area.
