Giving this information, handball coach Sneh Lata said that Himachal Pradesh women's team defeated host Uttarakhand in a one-sided match. Himachal Pradesh scored 45 goals and Uttarakhand scored only 6 goals. Mithali Sharma scored 8, Kritika scored 7, Jagriti scored 7, Shailja Sharma scored 4 and Menika Pal scored 4 goals from Himachal Pradesh's side.
Himachal Pradesh women's handball team's chief coach Snehlata, coach Manoj Thakur, team manager Parveen Dubey and Sushil congratulated the players on the team's spectacular victory and expressed hope that the team will win the remaining matches as well and win the gold medal for Himachal Pradesh. He told that this women's team of Handball Una had secured first rank at national level last year also.
