Nawanshahr - According to the orders of the honorable Punjab and Haryana High Court, on the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman, 8 temporary licenses for selling firecrackers on the occasion of Diwali in the district today.
Under the leadership of SDM Nawanshahr Dr. Akshita Gupta, allotments were made through draw in a transparent manner in the presence of investors. In this draw drawn sub-division wise, 4 provisional licenses were allotted for Nawanshahr sub-division and 2 each for Banga and Balachore. Dr. Akshita Gupta said that a total of 58 applications were received from the district for getting temporary license to sell crackers.
 Among the applications received for Nawanshahr sub-division, 2 provisional licenses were allotted through draw for the grounds of Nawanshahr (Urban Area) Doaba Arya School, Rahon Road, Nawanshahr, which included Vishal Abi and Jatin. Similarly, Surjit Singh for Nawanshahr (rural area) Dussehra Ground and Manjinder Singh for Dussehra Ground Road.
 Apart from this, provisional licenses were allotted to Sukhwinder Kumar for Banga (Urban Area) Dussehra Ground Banga for Sub-Division Banga and Joginder Pal for Banga (Rural Area) Senior Secondary School Mukandpur Ground through draw.
 Similarly, out of the applications received for Sub-division Balachore, provisional license was allotted to Talab Kumar for Balachore (Urban Area) Dussehra Ground Block Balachore and Rajesh Mahajan for Balachore (Rural Area) Government Senior Secondary School Saroa Block Saroa.
 On this occasion, DSP Surinder Chand, Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. Balveer Kumar, Naib Tehsildar Banga Mani Mahajan, GMDI C Neha Sahota, besides executive officers of municipal councils and other officials were present.
