Patiala, December 9: No nominations were filed today on the first day of nominations for the Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat elections. Giving this information, Patiala Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development)-cum-Additional District Election Officer Anuprita Johal said; that candidates wishing to contest the elections will be able to submit their nomination papers to the concerned Returning Officers on December 12, 2024, the last date for filing nominations (up to 03:00 pm). The ADC further informed that for ward numbers 1 to 14 of Municipal Corporation Patiala, RTO Patiala Naman Markan will be the Returning Officer and the concerned candidates will submit their nomination papers at the RTO office.
SDM Patiala Manjit Kaur will receive the nomination papers for ward numbers 15 to 20. For ward numbers 30 to 45, PDA EO-cum-Assistant Commissioner (g) Patiala Richa Goel will receive the nomination papers at the DRO Court District Administrative Complex. Similarly, SDM Nabha Returning Officer Dr. Ismat Vijay Singh from Ward No. 46 to 60 will receive nomination papers at the Committee Room, District Administrative Complex, Patiala. The Additional Deputy Commissioner further informed that the 15 wards of Nagar Council Sanaur, for which the Returning Officer is AMD PRTC Navdeep Kumar, will receive nomination papers at the BDPO Sanaur office. SDM Doodhan Sadhan Kirpalveer Singh has been appointed as the Returning Officer for 13 wards of Nagar Panchayat Devigarh and he is receiving nomination papers at the Market Committee Doodhan Sadhan.
While SDM Samana Tarsem Chand is receiving nomination papers as the Returning Officer for 13 wards of Nagar Panchayat Ghagga at the Senior Secondary School Ghagga. The Returning Officer for 11 wards of Nagar Panchayat Ghanaur is receiving nomination papers at the office of Rajpura Naib Tehsildar Ghanaur. Apart from this, District Revenue Officer Patiala Navdeep Singh will receive the nomination papers as the Returning Officer for Nagar Panchayat Bhadson from the office of Naib Tehsildar Bhadson. Additional District Election Officer Anuprita Johal said that the election is to be held in Ward No. 2 of Nagar Council Rajpura, where the Executive Engineer Water Supply Division No. 2 Patiala will receive the nomination papers from the Naib Tehsildar's office, Rajpura. Similarly, Naib Tehsildar Samana has been appointed as the Returning Officer for Ward No. 8 of Nagar Council Samana. While S&M Patran Ashok Kumar is receiving the nomination papers for Ward No. 12 of Nagar Council Patran and for Ward No. 16 of Nagar Council Nabha, the Executive Engineer of Public Works Department Nabha will receive the nomination papers from the Naib Tehsildar's office.
