Chandigarh, December 21:- Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini appealed to the youth to become job creators by combining their local skills with modern technology and not just job seekers. He said that the Haryana Government is fully committed to promoting entrepreneurship among the youth and is supporting them through schemes like Mudra Yojana, Stand Up India and special subsidy for the MSME sector. The Chief Minister said that the development of indigenous technology by the youth will not only give impetus to new enterprises but will also ensure a strong contribution towards the goal of making India a world guru.
The Chief Minister was addressing the public present after inaugurating the Swadeshi Mahotsav 2025 organized in Panchkula today.
Shri Naib Singh Saini said that in the current startup era, the concept of Swadeshi is not limited to traditional products only, but Swadeshi is also being encouraged in modern sectors like technology, software, defense materials and semiconductors. He said that currently more than 12 lakh registered MSMEs are working in Haryana, which are providing employment to about 65 lakh people.
The aim is to identify the special product of each block and establish it as Brand India at the national and international level
The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously working towards developing local manufacturing in line with world standards. Under this, the Padma scheme has been started, under which the special product of each block is being given recognition. The aim is to establish the scientific instruments of Ambala, the handlooms of Panipat and the brass art of Rewari as Brand India not only at the national but also at the international level.
He said that with the aim of creating an employment-generating youth group in the state, the Haryana State Startup Policy-2022 has been implemented, as a positive result of which Haryana is today at the seventh position in the country based on the number of startups. Currently, more than 9500 recognized startups are working in the state. The Chief Minister informed that a Rs 2000 crore Fund of Friends is being established to provide financial assistance to startups.

The Chief Minister said that the Swadeshi has been the basic spirit of the independence movement. Mahatma Gandhi made Swadeshi the source of self-reliance. Today, with the concept of self-reliance under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the indigenous people are getting a new direction.
The Chief Minister said that India has become the fourth largest economy in the world today and is soon moving towards reaching the third position. The Prime Minister has set a target of a 5 trillion dollar economy by the year 2030. This target will be achieved only when the artisans of the villages, the sisters of self-help groups and micro entrepreneurs become active participants in the development journey. He said that when a woman starts sewing, dairy or handicraft work, she not only earns a living, but also shapes the future of the society.

The Chief Minister said that more than 65 thousand self-help groups have been strengthened in Haryana so far, with lakhs of women associated with them. He appealed to encourage the use of indigenous products and adopt the concept of a plastic-free India and a waste-free Haryana.
Earlier, the Chief Minister inspected the stalls of indigenous products set up at the Swadeshi Mahotsav. He offered prayers at the Bharat Geeta Temple and prayed for the well-being of the people of the state by offering offerings in the Yagya. On this occasion, a resolution was also taken to adopt five indigenous things and abandon five foreign things.
On this occasion, Rajya Sabha MP Rekha Sharma, Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma, former Speaker Vidhan Sabha Gian Chand Gupta, Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal, Swadeshi Jagran Manch Co-Convenor Mr. Satish Kumar, District President Ajay Mittal, Banto Kataria, Om Prakash Devinagar, Krishna Lamba, Rajesh Goyal, Gurinder Bhatti, Puneet Khanna along with Swadeshi Jagran Manch workers and other dignitaries were also present.
