Chandigarh, July 9:- This is a great opportunity for the state's ex-servicemen, retired soldiers, widows of war martyrs, ex-paramilitary forces and dependents of retired paramilitary forces to get employment-oriented education. A one-year training course in Stenography Hindi (NCVT) is being conducted for the session 2026-27 at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI). This course is a national level diploma recognized by the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.
A government spokesperson informed in this regard that this training has been started keeping in mind the youth from military and paramilitary families so that they can get better employment opportunities in the government and private sectors through skill development. The aim of the institution is to make such youth self-reliant by providing quality technical training, so that they can give a new direction to their future. For admission in this course, priority will be given to ex-servicemen of Haryana, retired soldiers, widows of soldiers martyred in war, ex-paramilitary forces and dependents of retired paramilitary forces. If the allotted seats remain vacant, then eligible candidates from non-military families of general category will also get the opportunity to apply online and get admission. With this, efforts are being made to connect maximum youth with national level skill training. He said that for admission in this one-year course of Stenography Hindi (Co-education), the minimum educational qualification of the candidate must be 10th pass, while the minimum age has been fixed at 14 years. A total of 24 seats are available in this trade for the session 2026-27. During the training, students will be given practical training, which will help them prepare themselves for stenographers, office assistants and other administrative posts in various government departments, courts, boards, corporations, public institutions and private organizations.
The spokesperson said that the admission process is being conducted completely online. Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the department https://admissions.itiharyana.gov.in. The last date for submitting applications has been fixed as July 15, 2026. Along with this, registered candidates have also been given the opportunity to fill the options by selecting the trade and institution of their choice by July 15. Officials have clarified that the opportunity to fill the application or options will not be available after the deadline, so eligible candidates should complete the application process as soon as possible without waiting for the last date.
He said that the candidates are advised to get the correct information regarding eligibility, reservation, required documents, admission process and all the rules related to counselling from the prospectus available on the departmental website before filling the application. It will also be mandatory to upload all the required documents in the prescribed format at the time of application.
