Una, June 25: A 'Summer School Readiness Fair-1' was organized with great enthusiasm at the Anganwadi center in Kotla Khurd, falling under the Basal supervisory circle of the Una Child Development Project. Held under the supervision of Kulveer Kaur, the fair aimed to prepare children for school entry, develop their early learning capabilities, and involve parents in the school readiness process.
Parents, grandparents, Anganwadi workers, and helpers of children aged 3 to 6 years participated enthusiastically in the event. During the fair, parents were provided with important information regarding early childhood development, school readiness, and creating a learning-friendly environment at home. Additionally, the family's role in the intellectual, social, and emotional preparation of the children was discussed in detail.
In her address, Supervisor Kulveer Kaur stated that the Summer School Readiness Fair is an effective medium for preparing children mentally, socially, and behaviorally for formal schooling. She noted that active parental participation fosters self-confidence in children, enabling them to enter school with enthusiasm and ease.
Children enjoyed learning through play by participating in various educational and recreational activities. Through colorful activities and creative games, they learned new things and showcased their talents.
Such events play a crucial role in the holistic development of children and in creating a positive atmosphere towards school education.
District Child Protection Officer Kamaljit Singh attended the occasion as the chief guest. He was accompanied by District Block Coordinator Manzoor Ahmed, staff member Kushal Rana, as well as members of the ALMSC and self-help groups.
