Una, January 28: A special training workshop was organized on Wednesday at the Service Building, Industrial Area, Mehatpur, with the aim of empowering entrepreneurs, startups, and micro and small businesses. This workshop was organized by the Industries Department of the state government through NABARD Consultancy Services.
In the workshop, various technical and practical sessions were conducted by highly skilled trainers to prepare the participants for future business challenges.
Meenakshi Thakur, Deputy Project Coordinator of RAMP, provided detailed information on Business Planning and Financial Management, while Puneet Bakshi provided information on GeM (Government e-Marketplace) to the participants. Officers and employees of the District Industries Center, Una, were also specially present on this occasion.
The experts provided the participants with detailed information on the registration process on the GeM portal, tendering system, product listing, payment system, and government procurement process. Along with this, guidance was provided on important aspects of business planning such as goal setting, market analysis, strategy formulation, and risk management. The financial management session highlighted practical methods of budgeting, cash flow management, cost control, profit and loss analysis, and effective investment planning.
Approximately 43 entrepreneurs, startup founders, and participants from various business sectors of Una district participated in the workshop.
The participants described the training as extremely useful and informative. The organizers stated that the main objective of the department is to connect local youth and entrepreneurs with new business opportunities through the government e-marketplace and to empower them financially. Similar training programs will be organized in the future so that more and more people can become self-reliant through digital platforms.
