Patiala, September 10:- The enthusiasm, courage, determination and self-confidence of the students of Soni Public School, being run at Fokat Point, Patiala, are above those of students from all other schools. This is why 70% of their students have between 5 and 15 medals and certificates. Expressing these views, Director Shri Varinder Singh and Chairman Smt. Amarjit Kaur thanked Shri Kaka Ram Verma, retired Training Supervisor, Red Cross, Dedicated Brothers Group President Dr. Rakesh Vermi and Alka Arora, saying that the students of Soni Public School have always performed well and won prizes in the competitions organised by them. The Dedicated Brothers Group has also honoured their Principal and more than 20 students and teachers.
Principal Smt. Ramandeep Kaur said that on the occasion of National Sports Day, at the competitions organised at ZPMS Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, their students defeated players from 17 schools and won 5 medals, while last year Soni Public School had won the highest number of medals and captured the Inz Ankit Arora Memorial Trophy.
Kaka Ram Verma said that today, children should not be encouraged merely to score higher marks, but should instead be motivated to develop their skills, enthusiasm, courage, determination and self-confidence and become national and international players and champions. Such talented children naturally stay away from drugs, fast food, junk food and a sedentary lifestyle.
