Garhshankar:- The "Village Guard" awareness journey of the second phase of the anti-drug campaign, aimed at keeping the village away from the drug menace, was launched by Shri Charanjit Singh Channi, Organization In-Charge and OSD/Deputy Speaker of Punjab Legislative Assembly for the Garhshankar Assembly Constituency, at village Nainewa. On this occasion, he stated that drugs are the biggest challenge for Punjab's future, and to combat this, every section of society needs to unite and work together.
Addressing the gathering, Charanjit Singh Channi said that the youth are the strength of the country and the state, and it is our collective responsibility to protect them from wrong paths and guide them in the right direction. He appealed to the youth to stay away from drugs and focus their attention on sports, education, and social service.
On this occasion, he also praised the campaign being run by the Punjab government against drugs and said that the government is taking strict action against drug traffickers. Along with this, several schemes have been implemented for the treatment and rehabilitation of people addicted to drugs.
The youth of village Nainewa and nearby villages, social leaders, and party workers extended full support to this journey. The people assured that they will make every possible effort to make their villages drug-free.
In the end, Charanjit Singh Channi said that this journey is just the beginning, and in the coming days, by reaching every village in the constituency, the youth will be made aware of the deadly effects of drugs.
 On this occasion, Baljinder Singh Sarpanch Nainewa, Member of Trade Commission Fuman Singh, Roshan Lal former Sarpanch Ravinder Rinku, Jaspal Singh former Sarpanch Harwan, Ismail Khan, Daljit Singh Sonu, along with the local police administration and civil administration were present.
