Voting Concludes Peacefully in 85 Panchayats of Una District 7875 Voter Turnout Recorded

Una, May 26: The voting process in 85 Panchayats of Una district was successfully concluded today (Tuesday) in a peaceful, fair, and harmonious atmosphere. According to data received at the district headquarters by 6:40 PM, in this first phase, out of a total of 134,805 registered voters, 106,165 exercised their franchise, resulting in an average voter turnout of 78.75 percent. Among these voters, 55,631 were women and 50,534 were men. During the voting process, a distinct sense of enthusiasm regarding this "festival of democracy" was observed across all sections of society—including the youth, the elderly, and women. Long queues of voters were witnessed at various polling stations right from the morning hours.

Sharing this information, Una District Election Officer Jatin Lal stated that among the 85 Panchayats in the district, the highest voter turnout percentage—79.99%—was recorded in the Amb block. Here, across 111 wards spanning 19 Panchayats, a total of 20,415 voters cast their ballots, comprising 10,533 women and 9,882 men. Meanwhile, in Bangana, the voter turnout stood at 79.03%. A total of 19,946 voters cast their votes in this block, including 10,441 women and 9,505 men. In Una, the turnout was 78.78%, with a total of 21,185 voters exercising their franchise—comprising 11,185 women and 10,000 men. Finally, in Gagret, the voter turnout was 77.89%, with a total of 18,833 voters casting their ballots, including 9,856 women and 8,977 men. Furthermore, the voter turnout in Haroli stood at 78.2 percent, with a total of 25,786 voters exercising their franchise—comprising 13,616 female and 12,170 male voters.

**Elections to be Held in 83 Panchayats on May 28**
In the Una district, the second phase of elections for Panchayati Raj Institutions will be conducted on May 28 across a total of 83 Gram Panchayats spanning all subdivisions. This includes 19 Gram Panchayats from the Amb Development Block, 16 from Bangana, 14 from Gagret, 18 from Una, and 16 from Haroli.
Under the Amb subdivision, voting on May 28 will take place in the following areas: Dharamshala Mahanta Khas, Badhmana, Nari Chintpurni, Duhal Bangwala, Bhagra, Amb Tilla, Churudu, Polian Purohitan, Ghewat Behar, Kuthiyari, Dilwan, Rajpur Jaswan, Tyai, Kalruhi, Behar Jaswan, Mubarakpur, Bhaira, Takarla, and Kutheda Khairla.
Meanwhile, in Bangana, voting will be held in the Gram Panchayats of Dhundla, Malangad, Arlu Khas, Karmali, Dhiyungli, Thanakalan, Ghughan Kakrana, Dobad, Proiyan Kalan, Budhan, Bairiyan, Bohru, Momanyar, Boul, Raipur, and Sohari.
Similarly, in the Gagret subdivision, voting will be conducted in the Panchayats of Brahmpur, Badhera Rajputan, Ramnagar, Ganu Mandwara, Dangoh Khurd, Loharli, Tatehra, Gagret Upper, Mawa Kohlan, Chatehar, Raipur, Sanghnei, Dangoh Khas, and Nakdoh. In the Una subdivision, voting will be conducted in the Dehlan Lower, Bhatoli, Nari, Majara, Bahdala Lower, Jhudowal, Basoli, Badoli, Badsala, Dhamandri, Madanpur, Kuriala, Mehatpur, Bhadoliyan Kalan, Malukpur, Upper Bahdala, Badehar, and Dathwara Panchayats.
Additionally, in the Haroli subdivision, voting will take place in the Gram Panchayats of Lower Panjavar, Khadd, Isupur Tanda, Bhadsali, Bhadsali Har, Dharampur, Baliwal, Haroli, Lower Lalri, Nangal Khurd, Singa, Gondpur Jaichand, Dulaihar, Malluwal, Kutharbit, and Halera Bilna.
