Una, October 31 – The Election Commission of India has activated the National Voter Helpline 1950 and Book-a-Call with BLO facilities to ensure voter convenience and transparency. These services have been launched to ensure prompt resolution of all election-related complaints, suggestions, and queries from citizens.
District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner, Una, Janit Lal, stated that the National Contact Center will serve as a central helpline for the entire country. It will operate daily from 8 am to 8 pm via the toll-free number 1800-11-1950. Trained officers at this center will provide assistance to citizens regarding election services and other related matters.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that the Election Commission has also issued instructions to establish State Contact Centers and District Contact Centers in all states, union territories, and districts to provide prompt and effective assistance at the local level. These centers are active during office hours on working days and provide information in regional languages.
All complaints and queries are registered and tracked through the National Grievance Service Portal, ensuring complete transparency in the process. Additionally, citizens can now directly contact their Booth Level Officer using the Book-a-Call with BLO feature through the ECINET platform.
In addition, citizens can also connect with election officials through the ECINET mobile app. The Election Commission has directed all Chief Electoral Officers, District Electoral Officers, and other concerned officials to regularly monitor complaints and ensure prompt redressal of all requests within 48 hours. These facilities are in addition to existing grievance redressal mechanisms. Citizens can also send their complaints or suggestions to [email protected].
The Deputy Commissioner has appealed to all citizens and voters to make maximum use of facilities like the 1950 Voter Helpline and Book-a-Call with BLO to ensure prompt, transparent, and effective resolution of queries related to the election process.
