Chandigarh, May 8:- The Haryana Government has directed to ensure proper arrangements in the respective districts for the smooth conduct of the Civil Services (Main) Examination-2026 to be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on May 24. 37 examination centres have been set up in Faridabad and 52 in Gurugram for the conduct of the examination.
Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi today chaired a meeting to review the preparations for the examination. The meeting was attended by the Commissioner of Police, Deputy Commissioner and other senior officers of Gurugram and Faridabad districts through video conferencing.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary reviewed in detail the arrangements at the examination centres, law and order, traffic management, security arrangements and other arrangements related to the fair and smooth conduct of the examination.
Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi directed the district administration and police officers to ensure proper arrangements at all examination centres and better coordination between all the concerned departments. He said that all necessary steps should be taken in a timely manner for adequate security arrangements, uninterrupted power supply, smooth transport facilities and effective crowd management.
He also directed the officers to ensure necessary arrangements for the convenience of the candidates and strictly follow the guidelines issued by the Union Public Service Commission.
The Chief Secretary said that all the officers and employees posted on examination duty should discharge their responsibilities with utmost vigilance, honesty and professionalism so that the examination can be conducted in a fair, peaceful and orderly manner.
