March 15:- Today, the Unemployed Multipurpose Health Workers surrounded the Patiala residence of the Honorable Health Minister Balbir Singh. Addressing the protest, they strongly condemned the government and said that after holding several meetings, the government had given 270 recruitments for the MPHWM. After taking the paper on November 30, the counseling was done on January 20-21-22-23.
But after that, despite holding several meetings, the government and the department did not take any meaningful step to join us. Due to which today we have been forced to express our protest in the form of a dharna. The Honorable Tehsildar Sahib gave a written assurance of the meeting and the Minister's office staff gave full confidence to resolve the demands.
After which the dharna was announced to end. The state president informed that if no meaningful solution is found in the meeting, the union will launch a permanent front. State presidents Harvinder Patiala, Savinder Faridkot, Navdeep Romana, Lakhwinder Singh Joga, Raj Sangtivala, Major Patran Neeraj Ferozepur, Ravinder Ajnala, Sahab Singh, Navggan Singh, Surinder Ferozepur, Manpreet Bhucho, Gurpyar Mansa, Harmanpreet Singh, etc. were present on the occasion.
