Hansi:- Under the guidance of DC Rahul Narwal and with the efforts of Chief Minister Good Governance Associate Pratiksha Sangwan, the 'Nav Chetna Mahila Library Series' started in district Hansi to provide better and convenient environment for study to women and girl students is continuously moving forward. Under this series, after village Shekhpura, now the second Nav Chetna Mahila Library has been prepared and completed in village Ghiray. Preparations have been started for the inauguration of the library.
BDPO Ashok Mehra informed that in village Ghiray, Nav Chetna Mahila Library has been established in the chaupal of the village, so that daughters, women and students of the village can get better environment and necessary resources for studies in their own village. Keeping in mind the convenience of students in the library, Wi-Fi facility, comfortable chairs, books for study and other necessary facilities will be made available. The aim of the library is to provide a peaceful and positive environment to students for preparation of competitive examinations, general studies and other academic activities.
Chief Minister Good Governance Associate Pratiksha Sangwan said that Nav Chetna Mahila Library is not just a room equipped with books and chairs, but an effort to take women and daughters of rural areas forward towards education and self-reliance. With such libraries being established in villages, girl students will get a better place to study and they will also get help in preparing for competitive examinations.
She said that there is no dearth of talents in rural areas. The need is only to provide them with proper resources and conducive environment. With this thinking, Nav Chetna Mahila Library series is being taken forward. The selection of books to be made available in the library will be done as per the requirements of the students, so that they get useful material for preparation of competitive examinations along with curriculum.
She said that work is being done towards establishing Nav Chetna Mahila Libraries in other villages of the district as well. While expanding this series, the aim is to take study facilities to women and daughters of maximum villages. Apart from this, preparations are also being made to establish Nav Chetna Mahila Library in Narnaund area.
The Chief Minister Good Governance Associate said that the operation of the library will be done at the local level in such a way that maximum benefit of it can be availed by girl students and women. In the library, along with studies, women and young girls will also get an opportunity to get information on various subjects and enhance their knowledge.
Rural daughters will get opportunity to move forward
The main objective of Nav Chetna Mahila Library series is to provide convenient place for education to daughters and women of rural areas and to inspire them to move forward. In villages, often students have to go far for facilities like peaceful environment, internet and study material. With library facility available in the village itself, students will save time and resources and they will be able to study regularly.
There is enthusiasm among villagers also with the library getting ready in village Ghiray. This library established in the chaupal of the village is expected to become an important centre of study and knowledge for daughters and students of the village in the coming time.
From the side of district administration also, Nav Chetna Mahila Library series is being taken forward as an important initiative towards promoting education and women empowerment in rural areas. In the coming time, emphasis will be laid on providing better study facilities to rural students and women by establishing such libraries in other villages of the district as well.
