Una, December 20: The Digital Agriculture Mission (AgriStack) is being implemented in Una district to make the agriculture sector modern, transparent, and farmer-friendly. Under this mission, a farmer registry will be created and a digital crop survey will be conducted to facilitate farmers and ensure that they receive the benefits of government schemes directly.
Deputy Director of Agriculture, Una, Kulbhushan Dhiman, said that under the farmer registry, a unique Farmer ID will be created for each registered farmer. Registration of beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will be given priority.
He informed that the farmer registry work is being carried out through Common Service Centers in the state. Farmers can register free of charge at their nearest Common Service Center/Lok Mitra Kendra.
Mr. Dhiman said that under the digital crop survey, details of the crops sown in each plot/field in the district will be recorded through a mobile interface. This will ensure that crop data is collected directly from the field in real-time. Currently, this digital crop survey is being conducted during the Rabi season.
